Martin's reviving Heroquest project

For the first time on this Blog I'm featuring another Reviving Heroquest project. This one is carried out by Martin. He revived his own Heroquest from scratch by printing materials on cards. The result is quite impressive and should it be not sufficient he also sculpted his own figures.


The main board was printed on a 180g paper stuck on a 3mm mounting board :



The rule book has been aged by burning and staining the pages from a notebook with an amazing result :





He also printed the cards, figures and doors :




These printed minis are temporary until he can sculpt all the figures (see below).

OpenQuest : Combat rules

The basic version of the fighting rules are now onlibe. You can download it from here.
I only used basc Heroquest rules and also adapted it to standard dice in case the players don't own the original fighting dice from Heroquest.

Dice for Heroquest v 1.10.64.2

Finally after a long break for professional reasons, i'm back online.

First achievement is the new version of the Dice for Heroquest application.
Now Google Play Games functionalities are working properly and you can earn Xp for achievements! Check them out...

In a near future i'll write down the combat rules.

Second test game : What OpenQuest can Heroquest cannot


For this game I was testing the the new Character sheet and open air scenes

The objective was to liberate a small town invaded by goblins.


This illustrates one of the main advantage of OpenQuest on Heroquest : creating large and modular open areas without having to print all the landscape.


There are still improvements to do in the rules such as giving the spells a range and adding modifiers for range weapons used in higher or lower positions. Yet this will only be optional rules since it could make the game too complicated...
